Recording Progress

I'm finding the recording process to be utterly frustrating. Satisfaction with recorded work is pretty elusive in my case. The smallest imperfection on a recording sends an entire piece back to the drawing board. Needless to say, progress is slow. Eventually the plan is to have a 7" release that will be available for purchase on my Etsy account. Updates to come!

What I'm Using

So this is my current rig. I'm making a lot of drone/ambient/minimalist type stuff with this setup. Hopefully I'll be able to put up some recordings soon.

Sherman Filterbank

Do want. Really incredible piece of equipment. Huge range of filter sounds. Ranges from the experimental to the classic. The video interviews the creator of this wonderful instrument/effect and really speaks for itself.

Sleepdrone 5

This wonderful machine has been on my want list for a while. It is a four oscillator done synth made by King Capitol Punishment. Sounds rad. What really cool about the Sleepdrone 5 is the individual outputs for each oscillator opening up a huge array of cool routing options you can utilize. King Capitol Punishment also makes the awesome Utopia Synth and Glamour Box. Heres a video by znshn demoing the Sleepdrone 5.

My Favorite Youtube Channel

Youtube user znshn has been making some incredible noise and I'm in love with every video. I really like that he/they experiment with the higher registers. It seems like a lot of noise is super focused on lower registers and super heavy bass tones. This is quite the opposite. Much respect. Crazy cool gear too. Check it.

Etsy Store!

So I started up a store for the random assortment of musical devices I make. Soon there will be a 3 channel passive line mixer, a spring based noise maker and a lot more shaker boxes. Check it out?

I'm sold out at the moment but check back for updates!

Grendel Drone Commander

The newest addition to my growing collection of noisemaking machines is the Grendel Drone Commander. It is built like an absolute tank (an housed in a repurposed ammo case). Its an incredible 2 oscillator, 2 LFO drone synthesizer. It has a great, thick, analog tone. Capable of everything from rhythmic sonic bliss to nightmarish cacophony. The Drone Commander can make some pretty amazing sounds.
